NVRTC_ERROR_INVALID_INPUT on first DiT forward pass (Phase 2), torch.compile disabled

The SeedVR2 DiT's first forward pass fails with CUDA NVRTC error: NVRTC_ERROR_INVALID_INPUT even with torch.compile disabled.

What Badgr ran

Nothing was run: reproducing needs the SeedVR2 models and the reporter's batch workflow, which were not set up.

What came back

  • The log shows the failure after VAE tiled encoding of 32-frame batches, in Phase 2 (DiT upscaling).

The error comes from runtime kernel compilation, so it depends on the CUDA toolkit and GPU architecture; the reporter's GPU was not listed in the excerpt read.

Checked 2026-10-14 in Badgr’s local development environment.
