A task that runs out of delivery attempts is left in RUNNING status and is not recovered.

Nothing was run: the Go ingestor and its message queue were not set up.

What came back

  • The report gives code references for the consumer and no runnable reproducer.

A test would exhaust a task's delivery attempts against the real consumer and read its status.

Checked 2026-10-14 in Badgr’s local development environment.
