EventedAgent fails with 404 "Workflow with id durable-agentic-execution not found" when the orchestration worker uses MASTRA_STEP_EXECUTION_URL

Remote step execution cannot resolve the durable agent's internal workflow, so every step dispatch returns 404 and the generate request hangs.

What Badgr ran

Read packages/core/src/worker/strategies/in-process-strategy.ts on current main. Not run: reproducing needs building Mastra, a worker, an API server and Redis.

What came back

  • executeStep resolves the workflow with this.#mastra.getWorkflowById(params.workflowId), the call the issue names.
  • The issue says getWorkflowById searches only user-registered workflows and the durable loop is registered as an internal workflow; I did not read that part of the code.

Code reading only (not run). Whether the 404 occurs end to end is as reported by the issue.

Checked 2026-10-11 in Badgr’s local development environment.
