Pass-through endpoint URL containing 'predict' substring is misidentified as Vertex AI route

Not reproduced

A pass-through target whose URL contains "predict" is treated as a Vertex route, so a KeyError kills the logging task and no SpendLog row is written.

What Badgr ran

Called PassThroughEndpointLogging.is_vertex_route on the issue's target URL (/api/predict/laya/v1/systemone), a URL without "predict", an unrelated /search-analytics URL and a real Vertex :predict URL, on LiteLLM 1.100.0, 1.104.2 and current main.

What came back

  • The issue's URL returned False on all three versions.
  • The real Vertex :predict URL returned True, as it should.

The substring match the issue describes is not in these versions: they check the :method suffix and resource names instead. The end-to-end SpendLogs symptom was not run.

Checked 2026-10-11 in Badgr’s local development environment.
