Cline Pass is broken: deepseek-v4.1-flash emits zero tool calls and the model invents results

Through Cline Pass, deepseek-v4.1-flash writes tool calls as literal text and invents the results.

What Badgr ran

Not run: it needs a Cline Pass account and key, which Badgr does not have, and the failure is in Cline's serving path, not in the model.

What came back

  • The reporter's paired benchmark (80.8% against 80.0% for DeepSeek's own API) points at the serving route, not the model.

A Badgr tool-call check would have to run against Cline's endpoint with a paying key.

Checked 2026-10-11 in Badgr’s local development environment.
