DbtCloudHook ignores timeout_seconds and connection proxies on sync requests

GitHub issue: https://github.com/apache/airflow/issues/74678

Reproduced

DbtCloudHook(timeout_seconds=...) has no effect on sync API calls: requests go out with timeout=None and without the connection's proxies.

What Badgr ran

Ran the reporter's mocked-HTTP script on CPU with apache-airflow 3.3.2, apache-airflow-providers-dbt-cloud 4.10.0 and apache-airflow-providers-http 6.3.0, with timeout_seconds=60 and a proxy in the connection extra.

What came back

  • The request reached requests.Session.send with timeout = None and proxies = OrderedDict() (empty).

With no timeout, a hung dbt Cloud call blocks the task and retry_limit never applies. Only the mocked call was run, not a real dbt Cloud account.

Checked 2026-10-14 in Badgr’s local development environment.
